N.E.W.T’s 2019 || TBR

I’ve decided to participate in another readathon and this time it’s the N.E.W.T’s magical readathon hosted by Book Roast over on Youtube. I’m going to leave the announcement video here so that you can go over and check out exactly what this readathon is about!

I didn’t participate in OWLs back in April but I’m not going to let that stop me. I decided to choose the career of Astronomer and to pass all the exams I need to read 7 books this month which I think is manageable considering I read 6 books last month.

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson

I’ve had this book on my TBR for a while now so I’m glad that it can fill a prompt for this readathon.

The Reading Rush 2019 Wrap Up

I started last week off with a good start on my TBR but once the third day hit I was woefully behind. I did end up reading 2 books in total which is honestly better than I could have expected considering how busy I was last week.

I also did get quite a few badges even though I only read two books.

Books read:

An Ember in The Ashes: Such a great fantasy! I don’t know why I didn’t pick it up sooner. It reminded me of why I love fantasy so much. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: This is such a great book! After finishing it, I immediately recommended it to both my mom and sister as well as one of my friends. My sister has already finished it and she loved it as well. If you have this on your TBR definitely get to it as soon as possible!

This was my first time participating in any type of readathon and I had a great time. I will definitely do it again next year but maybe I won’t give myself such high expectations.

The Reading Rush 2019: TBR

I was about to go to bed before I realized I hadn’t posted this yet even though the readathon starts tomorrow. If you don’t know The Reading Rush (formerly known as BookTubeAThon) is a week-long readathon from July 22nd – July 28th for all book-lovers to come together and read as much as possible. There are seven reading challenges you can try to complete, and every time you complete a challenge you get a badge. I’m definitely not going to read 7 books but I do want badges!
