July 2020 Wrap Up

Here I am with another wrap up where I didn’t read as many books as I had hoped. After listening to both the Brown sisters books, I haven’t really been in a mood to continue reading. I need to pick up books physically as I can finish a physical book much faster than I can finish an audiobook.

I did finish four books this month which to me seems like a really good amount.

The Kiss of Deception (The Remnant Chronicles, #1)

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson:  ★★★

I’ve had this book on my TBR for ages and I finally thought it was time to read it. I picked up the audiobook from my library and I enjoyed it. It was interesting and I definitely felt like continuing the series.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown (The Brown Sisters, #1)

Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert: ★★★★

I’ve actually already written my review for this book and you can find it here. I absolutely adored this book and it’s definitely a book I can see myself rereading when I get sad. I need to get myself a physical copy.

Take a Hint, Dani Brown (The Brown Sisters, #2)

Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert: ★★★★

Any surprise that I did end up reading the second book after Get a Life? No there shouldn’t be. I’m actually working on my review for this book and it might be up sometime this week, possibly. If the stars are aligned that is.

The Heart of Betrayal (The Remnant Chronicles, #2)

The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E Pearson: ★★★★

I guess this was just the month of sequels. I ended up liking the second book in this series a lot more. I think since I had started to grow more fond of the characters I was more invested in the story.

I’m back to being four books behind schedule on my reading goal and I have no idea if I’m going to be able to catch up. I really want to exceed my reading goal this year like I did last year but I don’t know if that is going to happen. How’s your reading challenge going?
