All’s fair in love and anarchy…

The epic conclusion to Marissa Meyer’s thrilling Renegades Trilogy finds Nova and Adrian fighting to keep their identities secret. While the battle rages on between their alter egos and their allies, there is a darker threat shrouding Gatlon City.

The Renegades’ worst enemy is back among them, threatening to reclaim Gatlon City. Nova and Adrian must brave lies and betrayal to protect those they love. Their greatest fears are about to come to life, and unless they can bridge the divide between heroes and villains, they stand to lose everything. Including each other.

Intrigue and action will leave readers on edge until the final, shocking secrets are revealed

This was my last read of 2019 and look at me just getting around to typing up my review at the beginning of February. I have the review written down on my iPad. I’m just really lazy and it takes me awhile to actually type up my reviews into something that is coherent and easy to read for other people. But I’m doing it now!

Supernova was a great way to end my 2019 reading journey. It was the last book in a series that I started in 2019 so we really came full circle. It was also a five star read for me. So overall a great ending to 2019.

Adrian and Nova were amazing in this book. First I’ll talk about Adrian. He’s such a smart boy and how I loved him through the entirety of this series. His arc especially in this book was so fun to read about. He went through so much what with finding out Nova’s identity and figuring out his relationship with his parents. He’s just my most favorite cinnamon roll of a boy and I adore him so much.

Next up is Nova. She wasn’t my favorite in this book but I still adore her. At the beginning of the book I found her character kind of annoying and I felt like her problems were being unnecessarily dragged out for longer than they needed to be. Once I got to the middle of the book though my annoyance went down a little and I really loved a lot at the end of the book.

I really love Meyer’s writing. I think it’s simple but effective. I’m always engaged and interested in what’s going on. I also listened to the audiobooks for the whole series and I love the narrators which is another reason I really enjoyed her writing.

Now the plot of this book is an actual rollercoaster. I don’t think I have ever been this up and down while reading any book before. I really felt like there were so many twists and turns I didn’t see coming. There was something that did irk me a little though. There was some back and forth when it came to Nova and Adrian finding out each other’s secret identities which I didn’t really enjoy but it worked out in the end. The epilogue literally left me slack-jawed. I couldn’t believe it and I still am not over it.

Overall Thoughts

I really enjoyed this book and after that ending I really hope that there is another book set in the same universe. I need it in my life. I loved all these characters and I’m glad with how everything was wrapped up really nicely. Have you read this series? What did you think of it?
