It’s a couple of days into 2020 and I’ve been reflecting on the past year of reading that I did. 2019 was a really good reading year for me. I actually accomplished my reading goal probably for the first time since I started my Goodreads account. I also got more serious with my blog and instagram posting more consistently. I do want to get even better with my blog and I hope to post more of a variety of posts instead of just reviews.
With all this being said I just wanted to have a post commemorating my reading in 2019 with my favorite books of the year as well as some fun stats courtesy of Goodreads Year in Books which you can find here.

I find it amazing that I read over 20,000 pages this year! Maybe this year I’ll read closer to 25,000.

My shortest book of the year was a prequel so that’s understandable. I actually am not surprised that this was my shortest books. It’s also not a book I enjoyed as much as I had hoped to but that’s okay.
I am surprised that this was my longest book though. I definitely thought it would be An Ember in The Ashes. This was a series that I started and finished this year and it has become a favorite of mine.
And now onto some of my favorite books of the year. I had a lot of favorites this year and I had very few books I disliked which I’m grateful for.

That’s a wrap for 2019. I’m really excited to see where life takes me in 2020 and I hope that I will be able to create more interesting content for this platform this year and continue to grow my reading style as well as the way I write my blog posts. Here’s to another year of great books!
Red White and Royal Blue is on my list too! And Curse almost made itttt…
